Abstract

According to the authors of the article, its relevance is due to the fact that one of the conditions for increasing effectiveness of civic education of schoolchildren is trying to avoid complete reliance on certain pedagogical techniques used in the modern education system. The authors of various modern pedagogical approaches, such as problem-based learning, contextual approach, modular approach, project-based method, flipped classroom technology, etc., due to their passion for the ideas of their research, often idealize the possibilities of a particular method. At the same time, most researchers proceed from the dominant knowledge component in civic education, arguing that the core component of education is to provide students with theoretical information about the basic values, necessary for education of a good citizen. At the same time, pedagogical techniques refer to a set of tools used to obtain this information through preparation and implementation by students of various projects, their active self-preparation in flipped classrooms, optimization, actualization, humanization and complexity of obtaining the knowledge. The article provides a qualitatively new look at the learning processes and introduces the approach called “deep learning method”. All the above mentioned approaches are reflected in the pedagogical method suggested by the authors.

Abstract

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the fact that the era of Peter the Great introduced a new period in the national enlightenment: everything that happened in education had to follow the state laws and serve its interests. This process of nationalization contributed to a new understanding of education, penetration of new initiatives into the national pedagogical consciousness, as well as gave birth a new understanding of an ideal personality. The aim of the study is to define the educational ideal of a person ready for a feat for the sake of the Fatherland, shaped in the imperial era in Russia. The authors reveal the essence and content of the concepts “empire” and “patriotism”, characterize the imperial era in Russia, define a new educational ideal of a personality relevant to the period and show how the educational ideal of a person was formed during the period under review.

Abstract

The article presents the results of the research into the method of encouraging sensory-perceptual activity for correction of speech disorders in primary school children with mental retardation of cerebral-organic genesis. The study involved 26 children aged 7.5–8.5. Correction of speech disorders in the control group (n = 12) was carried out using a standard speech therapy approach, in the experimental group (n = 14) – using a modified technique for encouraging sensory-perceptual activity by L.F. Fatikhova. The level of speech development was assessed using the adapted techniques by T.A. Fotekova. To identify the relationship between speech disorders and perception function, visual (according to the Poppelreiter Figures method) and auditory perception (according to the method by L.S. Tsvetkova) indicators were revealed. After the corrective work, repeated diagnostics was performed. The hypothesis that individual approach to development of sensory-perceptual activity of primary school children with mental retardation contributes to effective correction of speech development disorders was confirmed.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to test the hypothesis that women who are unable to conceive and bear children have certain emotional and personal traits that are different from those women who have children. In connection with the stated hypothesis, the following tasks have been solved: 1) to conduct a correlation analysis and identify the peculiarities of correlation dependencies between the studied parameters in the two groups of participants; 2) to compare the results in two different groups of the respondents in order to identify differences. The authors use the following techniques to solve the above mentioned tasks: questionnaire to assess the severity of a potentially existing generalized anxiety disorder; Hostility Inventory and Patient Health Questionnaire and group of statistical analysis methods. The correlation revealed some dependence between the studied parameters in one of the two groups of the participants. There is a direct and statistically significant correlation between anxiety and the feeling of guilt of infertile woman which distinguishes them
from the group of women who do not experience any reproductive difficulties. In addition, the author describes a direct and statistically significant relation between depressive symptoms and the feeling of guilt. Women with reproductive difficulties are at a significant risk of mental disorders.

Abstract

The article presents findings of the research aimed at studying motivation for learning a foreign language on Skyeng platform by students of non-linguistic faculties. The authors dwell on interrelation between the intrinsic motivation for learning and types of activities for acquiring a foreign language in the new digital reality. The article draws special attention to the connection between the intrinsic motivation for mastering a foreign language and types of exercises that students prefer. Digitalization of modern society has caused certain changes in the education system as a whole; in this connection, the authors focus on some changes in the motivational sphere. According to the paper, such changes in intrinsic and extrinsic motivation lead to new character traits of students who opt for more pronounced independent activity. Possibility of switching from cooperative forms of learning to individual ones not only leads to students’ independence in choosing forms of learning, but also stimulates a more pronounced desire for independent search for information and, as a result, to conscious self-education and self-development.
