HEALTH-SAVING EDUCATION: EFFECTIVENESS OF SWIMMING AND JOGGING IN THE FIGHT AGAINST EXTRA WEIGHT

Abstract

The authors of the article consider health-saving education as an important social function at the present stage of social development. According to the paper, a person should develop the need to take care of his/her health in order to develop as few chronic diseases as possible by older age and not to suffer from diseases in childhood and youth. Health-saving education is being developed at universities of various kinds and performs a socially oriented task of maintaining health and gain- ing knowledge about current wellness techniques. The conducted scientific study proves effectiveness of swimming and jogging in the fight against extra weight.
