ANIMATION AS A MEANS OF CORRECTING ORAL SPEECH IN PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN WITH SEVERE SPEECH DISORDERS

Abstract

The article proves the necessity of using modern computer technologies (animation) in correction of oral speech of primary schoolchildren with severe speech disorders (dysarthria). The authors start with theoretical background of the complexity of speech disorders. The paper presents opportunities of correctional work of a speech therapist with program material on literary reading in the second grade. The main curriculum blocks that provide correction of oral speech of primary schoolchildren are covered. The authors suggest a level-based approach that takes into account pupils’ individual characteristics and abilities. The prospects of using animation in correction of oral speech of primary schoolchildren are described.
